Persian Language Instructor Required in Dubai

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Persian Language Instructor to join our Department of Languages on a part-time, contract basis. The successful candidate will design and deliver Persian language courses tailored to intermediate and advanced learners, guiding students progressively from CEFR Level B1 to C1.

Position Details

Key Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and deliver Persian language courses aligned with CEFR B1–C1 learning objectives.
Design and update course curricula, syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments to support learner progression.
Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback throughout the contract period.
Conduct regular assessments across listening, speaking, reading, and writing competencies.
Collaborate with department faculty to ensure coherence across the language program.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
Fulfil all contractual obligations within the agreed timeframe and scope of work.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Persian Language, Literature, Linguistics, or a closely related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience

Proven experience teaching Persian as a foreign or second language at the intermediate to advanced level (B1–C1).
Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, including lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools.
Solid understanding of and prior experience applying the CEFR framework in a teaching context.
Language

Native or near-native proficiency in Persian (Farsi/Dari); native Persian speakers are strongly encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in English for academic communication and administrative purposes.
Skills

Strong instructional delivery and classroom management skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
Familiarity with modern language teaching methodologies (communicative language teaching, task-based learning, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications

Teaching certification in Persian or a recognized language teaching qualification.
Prior experience in contract-based or adjunct teaching within a university setting.
Familiarity with language assessment frameworks and standardized proficiency testing.
