The KG1/KG2 teacher will deliver in-person lessons fulfilling the Wolsey Hall Oxford English National and Cambridge Curriculum. The teacher will support the child by teaching English and Maths through structured activities, interactive lessons, and hands-on learning, ensuring strong foundational development.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

Follow Wolsey Hall syllabus and lessons.
Provide face-to-face lessons for the student following the Wolsey Hall, English National and Cambridge Curriculum.
Teach core subjects: English and Math.
Prepare and deliver age-appropriate lessons with activities, and learning materials based on the curriculum.
Provide individualized support according to the student’s learning style and pace.
Incorporate play-based, sensory, and interactive teaching methods to maintain engagement.
All work to be completed in lesson time. No additional work (homework) to be given to the child outside of lesson time.

Student Monitoring & Reporting

Prepare weekly lesson plans ahead of time, in line with Wolsey Hall’s lessons and provide to parents and nanny.
Assess and track the students progress, in literacy, numeracy, fine motor skills, and early learning development.
Provide weekly updates and images of work to parents and nanny on student’s work performance and progress in relation to lessons, communicating strengths, and areas needing improvement.
Maintain organized hard copy records of completed lessons and curriculum modules, that parents and nanny can access and review.
Enable the student to complete and submit video assignments as required by Wolsey Hall on the required due dates.
Liaise with Wolsey Hall teachers and staff as needed and facilitate short live video reviews for the student to participate in; after assignments have been graded (in lesson time).

Collaboration & Communication

Coordinate closely with nanny regarding schedules, progress and learning needs.
Ensure all teaching practices align with Wolsey Hall standards.
Learning Support
Continue to build the students skills in literacy; phonics, reading, handwriting, and numeracy.
Support emotional, social, and behavioral development through positive reinforcement.
Assist in establishing consistent learning routines.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certification

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field.
PGCE
Licensed teacher or early years certification preferred.
Familiarity with home schooling and Wolsey Hall advantageous.

Experience

Minimum 3 -5 years of experience teaching KG1 or KG2.
Experience teaching in an English National Curriculum environment preferred.

Skills & Competencies

English as a first language.
Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
Strong behavioural management and child engagement skills.
Fun, patient, and energetic teaching approach.
Strong organisational skills and ability to prepare structured lesson plans.
