Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to assist with Authority’s general ledger, accounting and financial reporting.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
Ensure that financial information complies with professional and regulatory standards. • Analyze the Expenses and ensure an accurate closing of monthly financials in coordination with finance sections.
Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger monthly, as well as preparing reports.
Perform account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct. • Prepare own monthly relevant reconciliation schedule and following up with other units for timely submission.
Coordinate with Investment team to receive the FDs & interest expenses and pass the monthly journal entry.
Prepare accurate and presentable Actual vs. Budget analysis reports for Management and departmental reporting.
Pass adjusting entries on monthly basis as part of monthly closure of accounts.
Playing key role in year-end closing exercise and external audit.
Provision of various reports to different end-user to enable informative decision making.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned by direct supervisor

Job Requirements

A minimum of a bachelor’s and qualified Professional Accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, etc
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Good knowledge and strong analytical skills of numerical data.
